I Deleted My Mailing List

Every once in a while, I get a bright idea like cleaning up my newsletter list. In an effort to segment out all the bouncing addresses, I somehow managed to delete my entire list of readers. No, it wasn’t all backed up and I have no idea how I did it. As much as I’d like to blame Mailchimp for the blunder, I’m pretty sure it is 100% my fault. I was pretty upset for a bit but then I remember that I’ve been wondering if I could move my list to another email server or if I should clean it up a bit so it reaches my target audience (loyal fans) better. Maybe this is just God’s way of taking care of that for me.

If you’ve ever wondered if writers wander around daydreaming and with their heads in the clouds, today is your unmitigated proof that some of us are just like that. I make silly mistakes a lot but I do have to say this is one of the worst I’ve made in a while. Still, I trust the Lord and the plans he has for me and I’m going to assume he will help me bring my list back stronger and better than ever before and that there is a reason and purpose for this as there is for everything.

All that said, if you’d like to stay up on my latest news and get a free book download in the process, go ahead and hit the “Get My Free Book” button above and resubscribe. You’ll be the first to know about deals, get glimpses into my southern Indiana rural life and get specials no one else gets. Plus, you’ll help keep the panic at bay as I try to figure out how to market my books without having a way to contact my readers.
